The short bio

Harry Spear came to the Florida Keys in the early 1970s and spent nearly four decades as a saltwater flats guide, logging more than 7,500 days on the water and winning over 40 major tournaments. He built his first skiff in 1978 and has been refining technical poling skiff design ever since. He now builds them by hand in Sopchoppy, on Florida's Forgotten Coast.
